By Timmy T Déjà vu can be described as a phenomenon in which an individual has a recognition that he has already experienced his present situation. Déjà vu has baffled psychologists for years. The only logical explanation stems from incredibly rare mental disorders. For example, memory trace may lead to the sensation that a person in a situation has already experienced it in the past. Thus, encountering something that evokes the implicit associations of an experience or sensation that cannot be remembered may lead to déjà vu. In an effort to reproduce the sensation experimentally, two doctors named Dr. Banister and Zangwill used hypnosis to give participants posthypnotic amnesia for material they had already seen. When this was later re-encountered, the restricted activation caused thereafter by the posthypnotic amnesia resulted in 3 of the 10 participants reporting what the authors termed "paramnesias". By Psychic Anxiety W hat if a game could prevent a real-life disaster? Let’s talk about World of Warcraft--specifically, the Corrupted Blood Plague. Now, before we start, what is World of Warcraft? Well, it’s an online multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG). It came out in 2004 and is still played a lot to this day. You can play with other people to battle non-player characters known as NPCs to gain levels and battle other players with pets. Back in September of 2005, the maximum level was level 60. People who were at level 60 could go to fight in the Zul’Gurub (ZG) Raid. While in there, you were infected by a so-called virus. This ‘virus’ was able to slowly bring down your health, but for the high-level players that were allowed in there, it wasn’t anything deadly. The catch to this ‘virus’ was that it was contagious. By LIMU EMU I woke up like I would every other time I tried to sleep: drenched in sweat, shivering, afraid to go back to sleep. I have this recurring dream--something involving static. Movie Review: Ran (1985)

By Jagger N The following is a review of a 1985 film called Ran . It was directed by Akira Kurosawa and is widely regarded as a cinematic classic. Absolutely beautiful film. A piece of art with color use unlike anything I've ever seen before. I wish I could live in this place despite all of that fire and fighting, just seeing that landscape in real life would put you in a trance. As well as that, this narrative is also beautiful. A masterful retelling of Shakespeare's King Lear. A grand story that is huge in scale to match the actual scale of the rest of the film. So thoroughly entertaining as well. Definitely makes me want to watch more Kurosawa as this left me dumbfounded and really made me have a realization moment as to this other layer of film that I had yet to discover. This makes the debate of Kurosawa being the best director ever make total sense. This is a revolutionary film that went on to alter cinema as we know it. A truly breathtaking masterwork Rating: 99.5/100
